E-Clay Project
Are you looking for a pottery class and interested in learning?
Do you want to be part of an exciting Canada Council for the Arts Project and learn from home or be in a community studio?
If so, there are some spots available through the E-Clay project.
Shaun P. Kelly, Studio on the Hill. Take this course in person in East York or Online.
Throwing bootcamp
Starts February 6th – 8 classes
Course fee: $270 less rebate of $100 the end of the course.
Registration is now open for both in-studio and online students to join Shaun P. Kelly in a throwing bootcamp for intermediate to expert level throwers. This course is part of the E-Clay learning project and students will receive $100 rebate for participating in this pilot project and completing the course evaluations. Course fee is $270, please contact to register.
Aitak Sorahitalab, Take this course in person at the Kawartha Potters studio and learn from an international ceramic artist. She will be teaching in real time from her studio in Newmarket.
Hand building/Sculpture
Starts February 10th – 8 classes
Course fee: $406.80 less rebate of $100 at the end of the course.
Aitak Sorahitalab is a contemporary ceramic and mural artist, an art educator, and a public art researcher. Aitak will teach virtually the students who are at the Kawartha Potters Guild and provide a uniquely, dynamic and interactive learning experience! Through the E-clay pilot project, students will be learning sculptural techniques and narrative from Aitak while being together in the Kawartha Studio, supported by an assistant from the Guild. Intermediate Throwing
Starts February 14th – 8 classes

Take your wheel skills to the next level from the comfort of your own home studio! Starting with the forms of a cylinder and bowl - explore shapes, add lids, and improve your consistency and ability through an interactive dynamic virtual course with June Macdonald. June has been a potter for over 20 years and loves helping her students develop their wheel throwing skills. Go to www.waterloopotters.ca to register for this E-clay pilot project. Hand building
Starts February 16th – 8 classes.

Work on different ways of combining pinching and coiling with slab and surface decoration – such as working with coloured slips, sgraffito and Mishima. Eekta Trienekens will be teaching this exciting course at the Guild for both the students in the studio and students online anywhere. Participate in this interactive hybrid-online course for the E-Clay project through the Waterloo Potters Workshop. Registration is open for both in-studio and online students.

Clay with Linda
Pottery classes all through the year for summer class schedule, please see the website www.claywithlinda.com. There are between 4 and 6 students in a class.
The total cost for a 6-week session in fall, 2018 is $115 per person. This is a 90-minute class once a week for 6 weeks. The cost includes taxes, clay, glazing, two firings, all tools and colored slips for decoration. There are between 4 and 6 students in a class. All pots are oven proof and food safe.
I find real joy helping people explore the many possibilities of what clay can offer in an allowing, relaxing atmosphere of fun, exploration and adventure.
